We were able to photograph a few of the murals in downtown Tucson while we traveled between the various Gem Shows in Feb 2009. We spent some time in the big tents at the Gem Show at Tucson Electric Ball Park. Everyone was very friendly and plenty of sales were being made. Items for sale include; beads, wooden artwork, pottery, leather goods, finished jewelry, stones, artifacts, crystals and fabrics http://www.tucsonnightly.com/Articles.php?action=detail&g=content1234914798&pid=1399

It snowed in Feb 2009 on Mount Lemmon above Tucson, Arizona. We took a 4x4 Jeep up the mountain to review some gear and see some snow. We spent the day between 6000 and 7000 feet. We do not get a lot of snow in Tucson, so it was a treat to drive up and see these temporary views. We took these photographs on a Monday and the snow was all gone by Friday. The road was closed to all vehicles except 4x4s and cars with chains, so there was little traffic all day http://www.arizonadriving.com/Articles.php?action=detail&g=content1234904572

The Plaza Colonial in north Tucson, Arizona is an example of interesting soutwest architecture. There is a prominent copper dome on the north east corner of the plaza, a fountain and a courtyard.
