It snowed in Feb 2009 on Mount Lemmon above Tucson, Arizona. We took a 4x4 Jeep up the mountain to review some gear and see some snow. We spent the day between 6000 and 7000 feet. We do not get a lot of snow in Tucson, so it was a treat to drive up and see these temporary views. We took these photographs on a Monday and the snow was all gone by Friday. The road was closed to all vehicles except 4x4s and cars with chains, so there was little traffic all day

We spent some time in the big tents at the Gem Show at Tucson Electric Ball Park. Everyone was very friendly and plenty of sales were being made. Items for sale include; beads, wooden artwork, pottery, leather goods, finished jewelry, stones, artifacts, crystals and fabrics

We climbed A mountain overlooking Tucson, Arizona and took a few photos looking east over downtown Tucson, AZ. Sentinel Peak is 2,897 feet in altitude. The large letter A was built by the UofA in 1916 and is 160 feet tall and 70 feet wide. The mountain is a Park now and has a paved road that offers access to the bottom of the A.
